An overview on the severe difference in the two!
Welcome to 21st Century Hollywood – A Webinar Series presented by Kevin E. West. It is indeed a terrific line in the movie “My Favorite Year” when Peter O’Toole says: “I’m not an actor, I’m a movie star.” He is referencing that fact that he is suddenly put in the position of having to “perform live” without the benefit of extra takes and editing. Kevin takes an important look what he calls the American Idol Syndrome regarding performers. It is incredibly important to understand the distinct difference between a goofy/unique talent or a singing show versus the day to day realities of being an actor for Film and Television.
